Make some memories in Grand Haven and go fishing with Tripp N Hooks Charters. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Chris can tell you all about them.
Chinook Salmon, Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Brown Trout, and more could be biting if you come at the right time of year.
You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, trolling, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children may need to wear life vests depending on age, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites so that everyone stays happy and energized!
Your vessel for the day is a Trojan 10meter International (33') Sportfish with capacity for 6 passengers. It has downriggers, everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Your captain will provide rods and reels.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Before coming aboard, it may be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
A few items to bring include bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
