Embarcación Poipo's

Make the most of your time in Puerto Vallarta and go fishing with Embarcación Poipo's. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captains Karla and Carlos know them forwards and back.
These waters are known for Skipjack, Jack Crevalle, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Little Tunny (False Albacore), African Pompano Jack, Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Snapper (Blackfin), Roosterfish, Sailfish, Spanish Mackerel, Yellowfin Tuna, and more – with any luck, you'll hook into a few!
On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks!
Captains Karla and Carlos welcome you aboard a 28' Panga that can carry up to 9 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Captains Karla and Carlos will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Before coming aboard, it may be necessary to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't forget to bring sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
