Come experience the Gulf the way it's meant to be — with Captain Reid at the helm. A USCG-licensed captain, Reid has been fishing these waters since he was old enough to hold a rod. With years of professional charter experience across inshore, nearshore, and offshore trips, he combines deep local knowledge with a passion for showing guests a great time on the water.

Step aboard our 2020 Blazer Bay 2700 Hybrid, the largest in the bay boat class — built for both comfort and serious fishing. Outfitted with dual Simrad chartplotters and fish finders, all the latest USCG safety gear (life jackets, EPIRB, VHF radio), and top-quality tackle from Daiwa and Shimano, the boat is ready for any adventure the day brings.

At MURCO Charters, everyone's welcome — from seasoned anglers to first-timers. Kids are especially encouraged to join in, learn the ropes, and experience the excitement of reeling in their first catch. Captain Reid takes pride in creating a safe, fun, and memorable trip for the whole family.

On Board
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.

Don't leave home without sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Captain Reid and his First Mate were very in tune to our trip. This was my eleven year old grandson Isaac’s first ocean fishing. In his words, “I will always remember my first trip!” 
Thanks to Captain Reid’s attentiveness showing Isaac where to send his line, seemed like he had a fish almost every cast! He caught more fish, and a crab than the rest of us. 👍🏼
Highly recommend putting your fishing needs in Captain Reid’s very capable hands.

Everything was perfect!

Captain Reid did an incredible job. He communicated well leading up to the trip, including a few last minute tweaks on timing to make it more comfortable for everyone. We started catching fish from the first time we dropped our lines. Never waited with an empty line. Always excited to pop the fish in the ice chest and get our lines back in the water. Boat has a top anr plenty of seating. Will absolutely be booking again! Boat and Service 10/10

Captain Reid came highly recommended and now we know exactly why! From the moment we stepped onto his awesome rig, we knew we were in for a great day on the water. Captain Reid had us dialed in almost immediately, putting us on a spot within minutes where the fish were biting like crazy.

Not only did we hook into multiple species, but with his knowledge, guidance, and sharp eye for the best spots, we were able to limit out on Sheepshead in just a few hours. He made the entire experience fun, easy, and exciting from start to finish.

If you’re looking for a top-notch fishing charter with a captain who truly knows his stuff, Captain Reid is the one to book. Already looking forward to our next trip out with him! 🎣🌊

Great time fishing with Captain Reid

4 Hour Trip – Inshore/Nearshore Mid on March 13, 2026 • 4 adults

I took my son and his friend on a 4- hour inshore fishing trip. Captain Reid was awesome, he took us on about a 25 minute boat ride out to the rigs and within 5 minutes we were catching fish. We caught Sheeps heads, Red snapper and even two groupers. We had a great time fishing and chatting with Captain. He was very knowledgeable about the area. We got on the boat (which my son really liked) at fort Morgan, what a beautiful area and so much history. We even saw a lighthouse and some dolphins. We really enjoyed our fishing trip and would book again when back in the Gulf Shores area. Thank you!!

Captain Reid was fantastic—very friendly and attentive from start to finish. He was great with communication and even adjusted our departue time for better fishing. He put us on fish quickly, and the short boat ride made it even more enjoyable. It was the perfect trip for our 5-year-old and us adults. Highly recommend!
