Growing up minutes away from two well know rivers for fishing, spending countless hours enjoying what they have to offer. I met my wife in high school and her family owns a fishing company that inspires and educates people around the the nation (Salmon Trout Steelheader Magazine). Growing up in the industry for 18yrs and seeing how people are so passionate about fishing it is infectious. This is my goal to show the greatness, relaxation, and pure beauty of what this area has to offer and to create lifelong memories.

    Captain James and his crew are the best! So easy and comfortable to hang with and genuinely care about you. I was having fun even though I didn’t think we were going to catch anything. Expert fishermen who know how to hook a fish even when the odds are against us. They helped me catch a 16 pound Spring Chinook Salmon on the Columbia River while the other 30 boaters weren’t so lucky. God bless this crew. 100% recommend! Hope to fish with them again this year.

    Spring Chinook Fishing

    Full Day Trip

    I had a wonderful day out fishing with James Moore. I met him at the fishing spot just before sunrise. Everything was ready to go when I got there for the whole group. We had a great day out on the water. James knew the best ways to fish the area. His boat and equipment is all high end and top notch! He and his deck hand were very knowledgeable, very helpful, and had great positive attitudes. We had more action than most of the boats around us and we limited out! Everyone in the boat caught a salmon! I have been back out with James once since then and was an amazing trip again!!

    Wind River salmon with Moore Fishing

    Half Day Trip (AM)

    Phenomenal day fishing the Wind River with Moore Fishing! Beautiful weather, perfect conditions, incredible boat and quick limits of Big Spring Chinook and fun for all on board! I cannot recommend this guide enough. James passion, knowledge, skill and drive sets him apart from other guides. He will get you your fish and you'll have a blast doing it. Captain James is very friendly, kind, safe, fun and guaranteed to give you an unforgettable experience. I have been on several trips with James the Willamette, Columbia and the Wind always the same result.. FISH ON!!

    What an unbelievable day with James and his crew!!! Top notch fishing with instruction and patience you don’t find just anywhere in this business. James is not only passionate about catching fish, he also encourages and teaches you how to catch more fish. I will back on his boat again soon! Thank James

    Columbia Gorge Spring Chinook

    Full Day Trip

    I fished with James a few weeks ago for Spring Chinook in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. We limited the boat and had a great time. James is very knowledgeable about where and when to fish and gas the right presentations. I highly recommend Moore Fishing LLC.

Spring chinook doubles are rare. The first couple of minutes of fishing we had a couple missed opportunities, but these two capitalized on a springer double shortly after Beautiful chrome bright salmon. With it being this group first time salmon fishing the bar will be set a little higher next time.
