Fort Lauderdale has a fish with your name on it, so let Get Reel Sportfishing help you catch it! Captain Colton will be your guide, which allows you to benefit from their professional experience.

Top targets include Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Black Grouper, Mahi Mahi, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Sailfish, Red Grouper, Swordfish, Lane Snapper, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Vermilion Snapper, and more, depending on conditions. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Colton can also show you kite fishing.

Trips with Get Reel Sportfishing are great for kids, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!

You'll step aboard a 30' Lindsay Pilothouse that holds up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Our Captains will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

You can't go wrong when you bring sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

A fantastic expedition!

4 Hour Trip – Shared on March 22, 2026 • 3 adults

I spent three hours out on the water with my 11- and 14-year-old sons who have only been fishing a couple of other times, and it turned out to be a fantastic expedition—an easy, beautiful, memorable morning. Captain Colton was experienced, steady, and patient with the kids—letting encouraging them take the lead. We ended up catching a beautiful wahoo after only about a half hour on the water! The Captain cleaned it for us when we reurned to the dock, and just a couple of hours later we were eating it for lunch at Southport Raw Bar, which felt pretty special. All in all, it was a relaxed, fun morning that worked well for both kids and me (mom). It was a splurge but worth it as it turnd out to be my kids’ favorite part of our Miami vacation!

Kite Fishing

We tried Kite Fishing for Sail Fish. The bite was tough but we were able to hook a king mackerel but it broke off right at the boat. We did get on some Lane Snapper bottom fishing which were very good to eat.
