If you're ready to have fun fishing in Wrightsville Beach, book a trip with Outside Guide Service. Your guide for the day is Captain Logan, which allows you to benefit from their knowledge and experience.
Capt. Logan provides all the necesary equipment, bait, and gear for whatever type of fishing we may be doing that day but your welcome to include your own gear as well.
Your vessel for the day is a 22' Pathfinder center console with space for 5 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Rods and reels are supplied for you, so ask the captain about bringing your own if you prefer.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

6 Hour Trip – Nearshore on August 7, 2026 • 5 adultsCaptain Logan was awesome! He knew where to find the fish and when they stopped biting, he moved us to another spot for more. We caught some nice Spanish mackerel. And we saw a hammerhead shark really close and a lot of dolphin. The inshore fishing included a redfish, too big to keep, flounder, bluefish, lizardfish, pufferfish, and too many pinfish to count (just the fun of catching them!). Logan constantly maintained the lines, kept track of the weather front and provided lots of opportunity for us to pull in a catch. He was also patient with all my questions!😂 We would highly recommend him and will go with him again when in the area.
