These waters are home to Walleye, Smallmouth Bass and Muskellunge (Musky) in the months of April and May. You can expect to do some trolling, jigging, or maybe both depending on the bite. Early April is mostly jigging and late April in to May we switch to bottom bouncing a form of trolling.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! I have 2 child-sized type 1 required life vests. If more are needed please let me know so I can procure more, otherwise you should bring your own for comfort. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
You'll be fishing aboard a PNW style 25' aluminum fishing boat that can carry up to 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a porta-potty toilet on board for your convenience. The boat is very well stocked with rods, reels, and tackle included, along with lures and live bait needed.
You will need to get a local fishing license for Michigan and Canada before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain and I can help get the information of where to purchase to you.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is not allowed since we will be in and out of Canadian waters.
