Salty Bowline Charter Co. is excited to welcome a second boat to our fleet with this beautiful Contender Bay which has been completely restored! If you're ready to experience the Florida Keys and do some fishing in we've got you covered!
Now entering his fifth season in the charter industry, Dalton brings a wealth of real-world experience to the Salty Bowline team. He spent three years working as a first mate out of Murrells Inlet, mastering the day-to-day operations of successful charters and developing an in-depth knowledge of the local waters. During that time, he also spent several months fishing alongside Salty Bowline's lead captain, Captain Trentin Leary, gaining valuable hands-on experience within our program and further aligning with our approach to delivering top-tier trips.
These waters hold game fish like Amberjack, Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Mullet Snapper As part of the Salty Bowline crew, Dalton represents the professionalism, passion, and commitment to excellence that define our brand on the water., Red Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Gag Grouper, Goliath Grouper, Permit, Snook, Tarpon, Mahi Mahi, and more, depending on conditions and where we fish! On these trips, it's common to cast live bait and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. We prefer fishing with live bait and will typically try to catch some on our way out to fish.
You'll be fishing aboard a 25' Contender center console that holds up to 4 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. We recently completed an upgrade on this boat adding new upholstery and beautiful decking to provide a comfortable fishing environment for you and your family.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Be mindf

We had an incredible experience fishing with Captain Dalton. From the moment we stepped on the boat, his calm demeanor, patience, and deep knowledge of offshore fishing made us feel confident that we were in great hands. My sons already had some experience saltwater fishing in Connecticut, but deep-ocean fishing was completely new to them. Captain Dalton took the time to teach them new techniques and explain why different methods were used to target specific species. He also genuinely enjoyed talking with them about how we fish back home in Connecticut, making the trip feel personal rather than just another charter. What impressed me most was his knowledge of the ocean—knowing where to go, when to change locations, and which techniques would give us the best opportunity for success. His expertise paid off in an unforgettable way. My sons landed the biggest fish of their lives: a 6-foot, 125-pound nurse shark and a beautiful 28-inch, 20-pound mutton snapper. Everyone knows there's never a guarantee you'll catch fish on a charter, but I truly felt Captain Dalton was committed to giving my sons every opportunity to be successful. Just as importantly, he made sure they were enjoying every minute of the experience. His patience, encouragement, and dedication never wavered throughout the trip. Captain Dalton didn't just take us fishing—he gave our family an experience. These are memories my sons will carry with them for the rest of their lives, and for that, we are incredibly grateful. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, hardworking captain who truly cares about his guests and wants them to have an unforgettable day on the water, I can't recommend Captain Dalton highly enough.

Hi Dianne! We absolutely loved having you and your sons out with us. Dalton teaching them new techniques, talking Connecticut fishing with them, and putting them on a nurse shark and that mutton is the kind of day that sticks. Glad it felt like more than just another charter. If you have a minute, we’d be incredibly grateful if you’d leave us a Google review. It really helps more families like yours find us, and it means a lot to our small business. Hope we get to fish with y’all again soon!
We had an excellent fishing trip with Captain Dalton. We were going out with kids and it was important we catch something. Captian Dalton told us that he doesn’t normally go out for mahi on a short trip, but that he had done well with them the evening before, and that it may be worth a shot. He found the fish and we caught a bunch! He worked hard and was extremely helpful. Will definitely be calling him next time I’m in the keys.

Hi Jonathan! We loved having you guys out with us. Dalton taking the shot on mahi for a short family trip and putting you on a bunch is exactly what we want for days like that. Glad he worked hard for you, and we’d love to get you back on the water next time you’re in the Keys. If you have a minute, we’d be incredibly grateful if you’d leave us a Google review. It really helps more families like yours find us, and it means a lot to our small business.

We had a great day out on the water with Captain Dalton. We fished, visited the sandbar and lighthouse and caught a sunset at the end of the day. The kids were able to catch snapper grouper hooked into a tarpon and even caught some yellow jacks. Dalton made our young angler, ages 11 and 9, feel super comfortable. Can’t wait to come back and go out with him again!
I’ve been fishing with many guides in several different locations. No one has put us in the fish like Captain Trent. On top of that, he was super helpful to my college age daughters who were fishing for the first time in a decade. Most importantly, he’s just a great guy to hang with for a few hours. Wise beyond his years, and my family was blessed to meet him. We’re grateful for the afternoon spent with him in this beautiful slice of pardise. I will definitely be sending folks to see Captain Trent!
Great captain, Great equipment, Great boat! Dillon put us on a variety of fish, a few sharks, and a ray. We had a great time.

Hi Jerimy! So glad you all had a great time. Dalton loved putting you on a mix of fish, sharks, and that ray, and it means a lot you said the boat and crew were a 10. If you have a minute, we’d be incredibly grateful if you’d leave us a Google review. It really helps more families like yours find us, and it means a lot to our small business.
