Raised in a family of experienced fishermen, Trentin was introduced to the waters at a young age, spending countless hours learning the craft from family members and mentors. With three years of hands-on experience as a professional fishing guide, Trentin has honed a wide range of fishing skills and knowledge, from inshore to offshore fishing techniques.

Captain Trentin Leary will be running our Caymas 281HB center console loaded with all the fishing gear and technology you need. He recently got his captain's license in 2022 and has been fishing offshore as a mate for several years. His love & passion for fishing has pushed him to want to run his own boat which he has earned. 3 Hour Trip – Family - 7:00 AM • 4 adultsWe had an absolute blast on our charter today with Salty Bowline! The captain went completely above and beyond to make sure our entire group had an unforgettable experience out on the water. Everyone had a fantastic time, and the fishing was incredible—we managed to pull in two awesome nurse sharks and a beautiful grouper! From start to finish, the energy was amazing, the service was top-notch, and the captain’s expertise really made the day special. 6 Hour Trip – Offshore - 12:00 PM • 2 adults • 1 childWent on a birthday fishing trip with my 14 yr old son. His request was for Mahi and Dalton with Salty Bowline delivered. Found three different bird sets within an hour from the dock and limited out! Boat was ready and tackle was already set up ready to go. As soon as we found the first bird set, Dalton went to action. Ive been on some charters before and the guide did all but put the fish in the fish box. As part of the birthday experience for my son, my son casted, reeled, gaffed, and loaded the fish box. Thank you Dalton and Salty Bowline for a great Birthday trip for my son. We will be back and highly recommend.

3 Hour Trip – Family • 4 adults • 2 childrenWe had an incredible experience fishing with Captain Dalton. From the moment we stepped on the boat, his calm demeanor, patience, and deep knowledge of offshore fishing made us feel confident that we were in great hands. My sons already had some experience saltwater fishing in Connecticut, but deep-ocean fishing was completely new to them. Captain Dalton took the time to teach them new techniques and explain why different methods were used to target specific species. He also genuinely enjoyed talking with them about how we fish back home in Connecticut, making the trip feel personal rather than just another charter. What impressed me most was his knowledge of the ocean—knowing where to go, when to change locations, and which techniques would give us the best opportunity for success. His expertise paid off in an unforgettable way. My sons landed the biggest fish of their lives: a 6-foot, 125-pound nurse shark and a beautiful 28-inch, 20-pound mutton snapper. Everyone knows there's never a guarantee you'll catch fish on a charter, but I truly felt Captain Dalton was committed to giving my sons every opportunity to be successful. Just as importantly, he made sure they were enjoying every minute of the experience. His patience, encouragement, and dedication never wavered throughout the trip. Captain Dalton didn't just take us fishing—he gave our family an experience. These are memories my sons will carry with them for the rest of their lives, and for that, we are incredibly grateful. 4 Hour Trip – Inshore - 12:00 PM • 2 adultsIf I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! From the moment we booked with Salty Bowline Charters, the customer service was outstanding. We had a scheduling mix-up, and the owner went above and beyond to make everything right. That level of customer care alone impressed us, but the fishing trip itself exceeded every expectation. Captain Trentin and first mate Jack were phenomenal. They worked incredibly hard all afternoon to make sure my son and I had the best possible experience. Our adventure started with an unforgettable surprise a school of dolphins swimming alongside the boat! It was the perfect way to begin the trip. Not long after, Captain Trentin found a school of giant jack crevalle, and we caught 10 fish over 30 inches! They put up an unbelievable fight and had us smiling from ear to ear. Then my son caught a Bonita, which we used as bait…and that’s when the trip turned into something we’ll be talking about for the rest of our lives. We hooked into a huge bull shark! It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. This wasn’t just a fishing charter it was one of the best memories my son and I have ever shared together. If you’re looking for a charter in the Florida Keys, stop searching and book with Salty Bowline Charters. Captain Trentin, first mate Jack, and the entire team are first class.
