First Due Charters - Salmon
Book your next trip with First Due Charters and find out what the fishing in Olcott is all about. With Captain Greg at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Chinook Salmon, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), and plenty more. On the day of your trip you're likely to troll.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. You're welcome to bring snacks!
Your boat for the day is a 26' KingFisher pilothouse with space for 6 passengers. It comes with downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
How often would you rather be fishing? Go on and turn that day dream into a reality, with First Due Charters.

First day out on the lake for the Spring LOC Championship! Mixed bag with kings, steelhead and lakers! Closest to money fish was 16 pound king. Nicole brought the luck despite 20mph hard southeast winds! Captain Greg battled through the chop for us! This captain is more knowledgeable of this fishery than half the locals. #Firstduecharters #okumafishingusa #kingfisherboats

Thanks Keith, it was a pleasure having you and Nikki aboard! I truly appreciate you your business and look forward to fishing with you again!

Never met a harder working Captain! He is a great guy with good character and will work his butt off to make sure you don’t go home empty handed. This guy works his lines, baits, and set ups throughout your entire trip. We take a trip with Captain Shadler annually and consistently hit limits with several mature salmon. Book today! You won’t be disappointed!

Always a pleasure having this group, lots of laughs and great food! Thank for your continued support!
Olcott, New York, United States
I was introduced to Lake Erie Walleye fishing and Lake Michigan Salmon fishing 42 years ago by my father, we spent every weekend in the summer fishing Lake Erie for Walleye and made several trips a year to Lake Michigan to chase Salmon. He taught me how to catch and clean fish but more importantly safe boating. When I turned 15 I bought my first boat and spent every free minute on the water. When I turned 21 I joined the fire department, I became a FF/EMT and shortly after became a rescuediver on the Dive team. My home port is on the Western basin of Lake Erie where I target Walleye and Perch. I head to Lake Ontario out of Olcott, NY in May, July and August to target Salmon. I'm now a career FF/ Paramedic/ Rescue diver and run charters on my off time from the fire department.
