SeaPlay Sportfishing – Bow Down
If fishing in Galveston is on your bucket list, look no further than SeaPlay Sportfishing. With Captain Brad at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
Black Drum, Amberjack, Red Snapper, Flounder, Jack Crevalle, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Sheepshead, Blacktip Shark, Redfish, Gag Grouper, Cobia, Yellowfin Tuna, and more are in the cards, depending on conditions.
You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. You'll be casting lines from a 36' Contender center console with capacity for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's recommended to bring bottled water, sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Go ahead and treat yourself to a day on the water with SeaPlay Sportfishing.

Thanks William
Needed a charter last minute because ours was canceled for the second time the captain, and the first mate was very friendly and very helpful. Had a good ass time on the boat ride too, and made some funny stories.
Thanks
We caught lots of fish in the jetties then trolled and caught shark. The captain and mate were great. Any day on the water is a great day.
Thanks
Rented a fishing charter for my birthday. Ended up catching the largest red fish of my life and several catfish. Overall it was a great experience and the crew was exceptional. Would recommend!
