Barton Outfitters – Grenada Lake
Grenada has a fish with your name on it, so let Barton Outfitters help you catch it! With Captain Aaron at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
These waters are known for Crappie, Catfish, Largemouth Bass, White Bass, and more – with any luck, you'll have tight lines in no time. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Also remember to bring snacks to keep their stamina going!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 17' G3 aluminum fishing boat with room for 3 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, as well as lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
You will need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

we originally booked a trip with Barton Outfitters on Grenada Lake. Gotta a call from Mr Barton midweek prior to the trip concerning possible weather and to gauge how “hardcore” we wanted to be. Talked again Friday night and confirmed that we were good to go for Sunday morning. Saturday evening got a call from Captain Andy to let us know the report from Grenada wasn’t great. He suggested moving the trip to Lake Sardis due to good reports. showed up Sunday morning for what would become one of the best fishing trips my son and i ever had! Son was a little less experienced fishing white perch so captain andy kept him close with the utmost patience and professionalism. once my son was spooled up, we spent the rest of the day catching giants! 1000% recommend Captain Andy of Barton Outfitters! Already booked for next year!
The captain was an expert with the Livescope. Learned a lot about the tool. Had a good fishing day despite it being a very hot day in choppy water where the fish seemed uninterested.
Weather was good, our Captain Andy was on point, he knew just when and where to find the fish, his guidance was greatly appreciated. Captain Andy, was kind, professional, with a great sense of humor. Thanks again Captain Andy 👏 Book your next trip with this group you will enjoy it.

Our guide JJ was extremely helpful and patient with us, teaching us how catch crappies with the scope. His boat was very accommodating

Thank you Mr. roberts!
we had 4 people on our trip only one was fushing at a time our guide only used one jig did not try other options if it was not for the jug fishing we would have had three crappie i vould have done that at home

Really Mr. Dennis? you added the 4th person at the last minute, we told you the bite was tough and that livescoping was a one at a time game. you said this trip was for the kids and when we put them on the scope they caught keepers. you fought the guides guidance when it was your turn and took time away from the catch mission by not following instructions. when we called and asked if we could throw jugs out to make sure the kids (who the trip was about) would have fun, you agreed. we put you on a bunch of fish and sent you home with gallons and gallons of fillets. this review doesnt account for the discussions we had and expectations we tried to set. thanks for fishing with us
