Make the most of your time in Mazatlán and go fishing with MC Yachts Company. Captain Carlos Antonio will be your guide, which allows you to benefit from their knowledge and experience.
Sailfish, Striped Marlin, Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Jack Crevalle, Skipjack, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), and more inhabit these waters, depending on the time of year.
Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Carlos Antonio also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
You'll be fishing aboard a 35' Yate a motor that holds up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
Before coming aboard, it may be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's recommended to bring bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks included on board.
