Sea Horse Fishing Charter and Tours invites you to experience the stunning waters of Oak Island. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Sanford can tell you all about them.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Bluefish, Skipjack, Cobia, Scamp Grouper, Gag Grouper, African Pompano Jack, Long-Tail Red Snapper (Onaga), Atlantic Mackerel, Black Seabass, Weakfish, and anything else that bites.
You'll target your catch by spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Sea Horse Fishing Charter and Tours welcomes kids aboard, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
Capt. Sanford will bring you aboard a 26' Center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Capt. Sanford will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is not allowed.
