If you're ready to love fishing in Oak Island, book a trip with Family Ties Charters.

These waters are known for Amberjack, Bluefish, Skipjack, Cobia, Great Barracuda, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Black Grouper, Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Grunt, Red Snapper, and more – with any luck, you'll find out for yourself! For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light tackle.

Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!

Your adventure begins aboard a 26' ProKat Catamaran with space for 4 to 6 passengers. It has downriggers, and all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are ready for you. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

Fish cleaning is not included with the charter. Please ask about options.

It's recommended to bring bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. Time to make it happen, with Family Ties Charters!
