Make an adventure out of your next trip to Orange Beach and go fishing with Freebird Charters. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain John can tell you all about the local fishery.
These waters are known for Cobia, Bonito, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Almaco Jack, Bluefish, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Redfish, Tiger Shark, Lane Snapper, Sheepshead, Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, and more – with any luck, it won’t be long before "Fish on!"
You can expect to do some spinning, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. John can even clean your catch for you.
Your fishing machine for the day is a 30’ Topaz with room for 6 passengers. It has outriggers and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. What’s more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible.
Your captain will provide rods and reels. Live bait is on offer, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
You’ll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish and make the most of your trip. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10%–20% at the end of the day to show your appreciation.
There’s no need to buy a fishing license, which means all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Have in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
It’s never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask.
Your trip with Freebird Charters is just a click away, so why not make it happen?
