Northwest Fishing Charters
Ready to cast a line in Edmonds? Northwest Fishing Charters is here to make it happen! Captain Rich will be your guide, bringing aboard their sportfishing experience.
There's no guarantee when you're fishing, but just some of the species you can catch around here include Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Chum Salmon, Coho Salmon, Pink Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, and more with any luck.
You can expect to do some trolling, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites so that everyone stays happy and energized!
You'll be dropping lines from a 28' Sportfishing that holds up to 6 passengers. It has downriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible.
Capt. Rich has rods and reels for you, along with lures.
You might need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's always wise to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Capitan Rich is the definition of a professional Capitan that truly cares about the type of experience that his guests have. Great boat, focus on safety and, of course, fishing! And this is our second time with Captain Rich. Last time we didn't catch anything we could bring back but we had such a nice time and he tried so hard. We knew that if we came back we would enjoy our trip and bring home some fish. The second time did none disappoint. Highly recommended.
Went out with two of my buddies on the sound for some salmon. It was my first time fishing before and captain Rich was super helpful showing us how to reel in fish. Had many bites and we caught out limit within a few hours. He knew several great spots where fish were likely to be and we never had to wait long to have another fish on the line. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great time on the sound.

The boat left the dock at 5:00 and we had the forst in the boat before 5:30. We were back at the dock with a limit of 8 fish by 8:00. No doubt the other boats were watching our every move. I’ve had the privilege of fishing with Capt.Rich for almost 10 years now and am convinced he knows these waters as well as anyone. If the fish are out there, he knows how to find them

Jim, it’s always a pleasure having you out on the Doghouse. Sundays trip was definitely one of the fishiest and memorable mornings on the deck of the Doghouse. I look forward to having you on the boat again soon.. Captain Rich🏴☠️🎣🐟
We have taken a few charter trips in the last few months and this was by far our favorite. Captain Rich is very knowledgable and everyone on the charter limited on salmon. We enjoyed it so much that we will be joining him again to fish for Kings in a couple of weeks.
It was my first time salmon fishing and captain rich made it an awesome and fun experience. He was funny and nice to me and my party, he also filleted our fish for us. Overall amazing experience and if I’m ever in Edmonds again I’ll definitely do it again.

Memphys, it was great having you and your grandpa on the Doghouse. I hope you enjoy those coho salmon, I look forward to having you two on the boat again. Captain Rich🐟🎣🏴☠️
