Narooma Charters runs shared fishing trips out of Narooma, NSW, targeting a range of species around Montague Island. The Montague Island Nature Reserve is famous for its whales and penguins, which you will be able to see as you fish the rich, blue waters surrounding the island.
You will be fishing aboard a 42’ Steber saltwater fishing boat with plenty of room for up to 9 anglers. The boat is equipped with advanced Navman GPS and fishfinder, as well as outriggers, a large livewell, and a cosy interior complete with galley.
The vessel also boasts a flybridge where you can take in the view between bites, and a skilled first mate who will work hard all day to make sure you get the most out of your trip. There’s a toilet on board, as well as a kitchen, so you don’t have to sacrifice any comfort.
You’ll be able to target a variety of species on these trips, with anything from Pink Snapper and Pearl Perch, to Yellowfin and Bluefin Tuna potentially on the cards depending on the time of year. With this in mind, the crew provides a choice of light and heavy tackle, as well as the choice to bottom fish, troll, jig, and more.
All trips come with live bait, lures, licences, and hot drinks. After a productive day on these stunning waters, the crew will be happy to clean and fillet your catch so that you can take it home and enjoy the fruits of your labor over dinner. Feel free to bring your kids on a great adventure, since children are welcome aboard.
Explore some of the most beautiful waters off the coast of Australia with Narooma Charters, and get ready to have some fun!
