Depending on when you visit, you may have the chance to target Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Flounder, and other inshore species. Capt. Shane offers both light tackle and fly fishing trips, giving you the opportunity to choose the style that suits you best or try something new.
Trips take place aboard an 18’ Hell’s Bay flats boat, a great platform for exploring Charleston’s shallow inshore waters and getting into productive fishing areas. The boat is designed for up to 2 adults, with the possibility of bringing along a child as well.
Kids are absolutely welcome! If you're bringing a young angler, be sure to ask Capt. Shane whether a child-sized life vest is available on board. The goal is to make your time on the water comfortable, relaxed, and enjoyable for the whole family.
Your trip comes equipped with rods, reels, tackle, bait, and your fishing license is covered by the charter. All you need to do is show up ready to fish and enjoy a day on the water.
We recommend bringing polarized sunglasses, bottled water, and non-spray sunscreen. You’re welcome to bring other drinks as well—just check with your captain beforehand. Alcohol is permitted in moderation, but hard liquor and glass containers should be avoided.
