Spend the day with Star Fleet Sport Fishing and see what's biting in Mazatlán! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain David can tell you all about them.
These waters are known for Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Blue Marlin, Roosterfish, Spanish Mackerel, Sailfish, Black Marlin, Great Barracuda, Striped Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Jack Crevalle, Wahoo, African Pompano Jack, and more – with any luck, it won't take long to hook into some.
You'll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
Trips with Star Fleet Sport Fishing are child-friendly, so get 'em offline and onto the water! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don't forget to bring snacks!
Capt. David will bring you aboard a 40' Sportfishing that can carry up to 12 passengers. It comes with outriggers, a fighting chair, everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
The company will supply rods and reels for you, along with lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now, come aboard with Star Fleet Sport Fishing and get hooked!
