TYDE II Fishing Charters is based in Shelly Beach and specializes in exciting trips that are suited for any breeds of anglers. From beginner trolling adventures to bottom, game, and drift fishing for die-hard anglers, everyone will find their match.
Target Yellowfin Tuna and other pelagics or bottom fish the reef called Protea Bank. It's common to catch 20 different species in one day, including but not limited to Marlin, Sailfish, King Mackerel, Musselcracker, Rockcod, Englishman, Pink Salmon, Geelbek, and many more.
Try your hand at deep sea fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, light tackle fishing, and popping. Fly fishing and spearfishing are also available, as long as you bring your own equipment. All trips are tailor-made and the crew can always suggest options if you're not sure what the best one is at the moment.
Your boat for the day is a 28' Lee Cat, which comes powered by twin 140 HP Suzuki outboards and equipped with top-notch tackle and gear. There is enough room for up to 8 anglers to fish in comfort and style. Your food and drinks are welcome on board. Younger anglers are also welcome to join in the adventure!
Fishing licenses can be purchased at ZAR 60-70.

Captain Chris Korsten has been fishing since 1984. He is the chairperson for tourism in the area and has always loved the outdoors. Chris comes from a family of fishermen and grew up exploring the waters on commercial boats. He says, 'I have caught many fish but a particular small Black Marlin of 100 kg knocked my socks off.'
