When I say: 'prime fishing location', South Africa may not naturally pop to your head as the top heavyweight contender. But there's no reason why it shouldn't: with huge Tuna schools running along its coastline, and a variety of Big Game, Fly and Freshwater possibilities, SA deserves a spot on any serious angler's bucket list.

Rules & Regulations

All recreational fishers are required to get recreational fishing permits
You cannot sell fish caught under a recreational fishing permit.
Daily Bag Limit: Yellowfin (all) Tuna - 10, Kingfish 5, Billfish 5. There is an overall cumulative daily bag limit of 10, irrespective of the species caught and provided that this limit does not apply to species with no bag limit, and to those with a bag limit exceeding 10.
