Make the most of your time in Murrells Inlet and go fishing with Reel Rowdy Fishing Charters. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Crystal or Captain Grant can tell you all about them.
These waters are known for Black Seabass, Spotted Seatrout, Sandbar Shark, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, Weakfish, Flounder, Sheepshead, Redfish, Skipjack, and more – with any luck, they'll make your reel scream.
You'll target your catch by spinning, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Trips with Reel Salty Fishing Charters are open to the whole family, so get 'em offline and onto the water! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. You're welcome to bring snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
You'll step aboard a 23' Center console with room for 4 passengers. It has all the essentials.
Capt. Crystal has rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
It's recommended to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with Reel Salty Fishing Charters!

Took my son, his best friend, and grandson out for son’s 16th birthday. This was an amazing experience for all. We started at the jetty’s, as well as every other boat in the inlet, we were immediately on fish and the birthday boy getting the first catch, small black bass, then I got two big flounder. The grandson and son pulled in a couple more small black bass and a couple toadfish then the son’s friend got a huge flounder. All the other boats were gone by now, we were the only boat catching fish, and the tide had come in. Captain Christi said let’s go for it, so we went close to the beach, got some bait and headed to 5 mile reef. It was a little bit of a rough ride but well worth the effort. My son and I both got two big redfish, too big to keep. Son’s friend got a baby Cobia then I got a pretty nice one both too small. Then Colton (friend) hooked up on what we are sure was a very nice Cobia and it worked him out for a good half hour before finally breaking off. All of this was done on light tackle, #2 spinning reels on 6-7 foot medium rods. At one point everyone on the boat was hooked up. It was controlled chaos, the good kind. My grandson didn’t fair well in the open water, never got sick but was a little green. Captain Christi turned into Cpt. Mom and fixed him right up. This was the best fishing trip I’ve ever been on. Christi is the best you will find in Muriel’s inlet. We were the only boat catching fish from hearing the radio traffic. Our first mate worked his butt off and knew how to catch fish and kept us catching fish. I highly recommend Reel Salty for your next fishing trip, you will not be disappointed.
100/100 recommend! Thank you Captain Crystal and Jaylen! We had a blast and appreciate you making this such a memorable trip for us!! Our son hasn't stopped talking about what a great time he had catching our dinner. We'll definitely book again when we're back in town! 🎣
flounder, toadfish, redfish captain and first mate was great they helped my little grandson catch some fish very patient with him overall a great experience would recommend them again for your charter
We had a great trip this morning. The bite wasn’t the best, but that didnt stop us or the cree from trying. We had a couple get away out at the reef, but also reeled a couple big reds in. Along with a couple founder, a seabass, and a couple other throw backs. Our 10yo had a great time, and the crew made sure he was priorty. We will most definitely book again!
Enjoyed our trip off the coast of SC. No keepers, but did catch small Sea Bass, Flounder, Toadfish, and Lizardfish that kept our reels turning.
