There's a fish with your name on it just off shore from Klawock, Alaska. We will help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Skip can tell you all about them.

These waters hold game fish like Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, and a few other species.

Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area. If fish are concentrated, we mooch quite often.

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!

Skip runs a 24' Sportfishing boat with capacity for passengers and we fish 3 poles. It comes with downriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.

Rods and reels are supplied for you, but if you have a favorite rod or reel, bringing your own. Bait and lures are also supplied at no additional cost. Also at no additional charge, we will help you set and pull shrimp pots. This cuts down on fishing time but still eats well.

Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for every adult in your group. This can be done on line, Make sure you purchase a Chinook (King) stamp. Go to, Alaska Fish and Game permits.

Some essentials to bring are sunblock (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. We live in a rainforest so bring quality rain pants and jacket.

Give yourself something to look forward to and book a trip with Alaska's Log Cabin.

We do NOT fish halibut but on occasion go for ling cod, yellow eye and black sea bass. I sold my halibut permit with my larger boat and our rv park.
ALSO, OUR FISHING PACKAGES ARE 3 NIGHT MINIMUM WITH 4 NIGHTS AND 3 DAYS OF FISHING MOST COMMON. WE ARE A FISHING LODGE.

In my younger days I fished with my mother, in my older days my mother fished with me. My mother caught 3 fish larger than she was. Once in Alaska, an ALASKAN NATIVE, a Tlinget Indian who adopted me, started me fishing Salmon. I am almost as good as he was. I have won the salmon derby twice over the years. One of my guests, Jeff Brown won the local derby with a 70 pound King Salmon. He looked for that salmon for about 12 years. I don't smoke or drink much, so fishing filled the bill!
