- In my younger days I fished with my mother, in my older days my mother fished with me. My mother caught 3 fish larger than she was. Once in Alaska, an ALASKAN NATIVE, a Tlinget Indian who adopted me, started me fishing Salmon. I am almost as good as he was. I have won the salmon derby twice over the years. One of my guests, Jeff Brown won the local derby with a 70 pound King Salmon. He looked for that salmon for about 12 years. I don't smoke or drink much, so fishing filled the bill!
