Grant Anderson specializes in River Bank fishing the waters around Soldotna and invites you along for a trip to remember.
Here you won't be far from remote river locations, including some honey holes that only a local guide can show you.
The name of the game around here is fly fishing, and that's exactly what you'll do. You can also use a spinning rod if fly fishing is too much for you. Our guide will teach you and show you how to catch the species we are targeting. Grant can provide rods and reels, waders/wader boots, all the flies needed and lures.
These waters hold game fish like Sockeye Salmon, Coho Salmon, Arctic Char, Dolly Varden, Northern Pike, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Pink Salmon, and more, depending on when you go.
Any legal fish caught during the trip are yours to take with you. Have a cooler ready in the car for your catch if you are planning on keeping fish,! Groups of up to 6 are welcome on these excursions. We may have another guide along for groups over 4 people.
Expect to get in touch with Grant before the trip so you know where to meet and how to get there.
Be sure to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group ahead of time. You will get a link to buy your license online in the email confirmation you will receive. , You're encouraged to dress in layers with warm socks! It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen, snacks, bottled water, and sunglasses in any weather conditions.
Children are welcome to come along.
