Hoping to go fishing in Harkers Island? Then Capt. Gaib's charters has a trip with your name on it! With Captain Gaib at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.

Depending on conditions, you might hook into Amberjack, Bluefish, Cobia, Flounder, Gag Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Atlantic Mackerel, Vermilion Snapper, Red Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Gray Triggerfish, and who knows what else!

You'll target your catch by spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Gaib can also have you Flounder gigging. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.

Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board.

You'll be welcome aboard a 23' Center console with room for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.

Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
