Catfish, Crappie, Bluegill, Striped Bass, Sturgeon, Alligator Gar, Carp, Spotted Bass, Largemouth Bass, White Bass, Yellow Bass, and more are in the cards if you cast your line at the right time of year.

On these trips, it's common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. For the more adventurous among you, there's bowfishing.

Capt. Homad believes in teaching kids to fish while they're young, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!

You'll be casting lines from a 22' Center console with room for 4 passengers. It has a fighting chair, everything you need for a productive day on the water. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible.

Capt. Homad will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

You might need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

You can't go wrong when you bring sunblock (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
