Make some memories in Quepos and go fishing with Gunslinger II. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Geovanny can tell you all about them.
Blue Marlin, Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, Roosterfish, Great Barracuda, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Snook, and more are in the cards, depending on when you go. You can expect to do some spinning, popping, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Geovanny also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear.
Capt. Geovanny welcomes anglers of all ages, including kids, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. You're welcome to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
You'll be dropping lines from a 28' Grady-White center console that can carry up to 8 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks included on board.
Go ahead and treat yourself to a day on the water with Gunslinger II.
