Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, you should bring your own. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favourites!

You'll be dropping lines from a 14' Other that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials that no fishing machine can run without.

Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is available, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

It's always wise to bring bottled water, sunblock (non-spray), and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks for you on board.
