Spend the day with IDM Charters and see what's biting in Beaufort! Your guide for the day is Captain Dustin, bringing aboard their knowledge and experience.
These waters are known for Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Black Grouper, Amberjack, Sailfish, Cobia, Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Black Seabass, Gray Triggerfish, Vermilion Snapper, and more – with any luck, you'll find out for yourself!
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
Capt. Dustin will bring you aboard a 25' Center console that holds up to 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, all the essentials.
Capt. Dustin will supply rods and reels for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
You might need to purchase a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't leave home without sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
The click of a button is the only thing keeping you from a great day on the water with IDM Charters!

I grew up in Eastern North Carolina and have been fishing for as long as I can remember. The water has always been my passion, and there's nothing I enjoy more than being out on it. Alongside fishing, I've dedicated my life to helping others through my work in the fire service and as a paramedic. That same commitment carries over to every trip I run on the water. As a USCG Licensed Captain, my goal is to provide a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience for every guest. Whether you're looking to relax, learn, or chase fish, I'm here to make sure you have a great day on the water. As I like to say, "It doesn't matter as long as we're on the water." Once you're out there, it's all about leaving the stress behind, enjoying the moment, and making lasting memories.
