These waters are known for Speckled Trout, Atlantic Croaker, Redfish, Black Drum, Flounder, Ladyfish, Spanish Mackerel, Lane Snapper, Sheepshead, Whiting, and more; with any luck, it won't take long to hook into some.
For these species, you're likely to use popping corks and bottom fish using light tackle. Nearshore trips will utilize trolling and medium tackle.
Tangled Lines welcomes kids aboard, so feel free to make it a family day out! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks, as well as non-alcoholic drinks. We provide a personal cooler for you to use, filled with ice.
You'll be dropping lines from a 25' Robalo 246 Bay boat. “She is Extra Wide 9’ beam!!” with lots of room for 4 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask the captain before the trip if you would like to use artificial baits as well.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Some essentials to bring are sunblock (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and sunglasses. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is not allowed.

We had an absolutely amazing experience on our very first fishing charter in Gulf Shores! I was looking for something more personal and authentic rather than a commercialized experience, and Aaron with Tangled Lines exceeded our expectations. He put us right on the fish and was incredibly attentive to both me and my son throughout the trip. We caught fish, made some unforgettable memories, and even made a new friend along the way! What an epic day. From catching the weed line and trolling for mackerel to fighting the snapper into the boat before the dolphins pick pocketed us! all in all , you are the best fisherwoman ive met.

I have fished this area for more than 2 decades. I grew up in a commercial fishing family. I know alot about the area and where to find fish in every season. Wether your a beginner or a seasoned angler , I know we will have a great time out on the water join me on the water in my extra wide Robalo Cayman 246 .. the only 24ft bay boat that has a 9ft beam.
