Excited to go fishing in Steinhatchee? Look no further than Chasing Tails Fishing Charters, LLC! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Floyd can tell you all about the local fishery.

Scallop season runs from June 15th - Labor Day in our area. 

Depending on the season, you might hook into Redfish, Speckled Trout, and who knows what else! 

You'll target your catch by spinning, drifting, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Families making of a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites to keep their stamina going!

Capt. Floyd welcomes you aboard a 20' Flats boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water.

Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, along with lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.

A few items to bring include sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
