Fish like Redfish, Cobia, Bluefish, Sheepshead, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Scallop, Snook, Black Seabass, Black Drum, Tarpon, and more could be biting if you come at the right time of year. On these trips, you can expect to troll using light tackle.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Capt. Kyle will bring you aboard a 25' Carolina Skiff that holds up to 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures, and soft plastics. Live bait can be added by request.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Don't forget to bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed with approval from the captain, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Captain Kyle and Taylor went above and beyond helping us—beginning fishermen—participate in a fundraiser fishing tournament and win! Clearly this is their passion because they spent extra time with us at the captains dinner so they could learn the rules to the tournament the day before our trip. They both grew up fishing and were very knowledgeable about where to go and what lures to use. The best part was watching my son catch a large redfish, which turned out to be the winning redfish in the tournament! And Taylor filleted the fish, which we cooked up and really enjoyed. Beyond being good teachers, Kyle and Taylor were friendly, and fun. I would definitely book a charter with Saltline again!

My Wife and I had an Awesome 1/2 day trip. Kyle is a wounderful Captain and fisherman. He is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We caught Sea Trout, Flounder, and Sea Bass. I highly recommend him and we plan on chartering him again.

Me and my family were newbies to any kind of fishing and we set out to go scalloping. Kyle and his first mate were amazing and were calm, super nice, and help us immensely. Shout out to his first mate who helped us with every aspect of process, and was also so so so so sweet and patient with my daughter. Will definitely be booking again!

Great at communicating and making sure the weather would be good for our scalloping trip. Friendly and knowledgeable. We almost hit our limit at our first stop. They shucked everything for us and packed it all up for pur trip home. Best deal in Steinhatchee! We highly recommend.

Kyle and Taylor were wonderful hosts. They put us on fish and tended to all our needs. Our crew consisted of two retired pro boat drivers. He survived our scrutiny with class. - Fishing license (Capt. Kyle holds an FWC-issued Charter Captain's License, along with a snook permit, allowing guests to catch their legal limit of fish in the Big Bend area. All necessary fishing licenses are covered under his charter, so no license is required on your e)
