On near shore trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light tackle. Targeting spanish mackerel, king mackerel, bluefish, black sea bass, flounder, and silver snapper
are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your excursion begins aboard a 22' Center console that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Don't forget to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Captain Hunter took us out for a Father’s Day morning fishing trip. We had so much fun! He knew what he was doing and shared so much information with us the whole time. He got us on some Spanish mackerel and bluefish and we even saw a bunch of dolphins and a sea turtle! Definitely would recommend booking! We would go again!
Captain Hunter was friendly and knowledgeable. The boat was clean and nice and it was a fun boat ride. We didn't catch any fish which was a bummer but that's fishing! It was a nice evening out on a boat, even though we had to go through drive through instead of eating our freshly caught fish. I recommend Captain Hunter and Reel Good Timez charter.
Captain was great with kids and extremely knowledgeable about the area. Worth every penny!
