Reel Good Timez Charter
Ready to cast a line in Surf City? Look no further than Reel Good Timez Charter! Your guide for the day is local Captain Hunter, allowing you to benefit from his knowledge and experience on the water.
Depending on the time of year, these waters offer opportunities to catch species such as Red Drum, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Redfish, Sheepshead, Black Sea Bass, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Bluefish (Tailor), Skipjack, Flounder, Silver Snapper, and more.
On inshore trips, we fish light tackle in local creeks, flats, and channels, targeting species like Red Drum, Black Drum, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and Sheepshead. Whatever fish are biting best that day is what we’ll target.
On nearshore trips, we troll and bottom fish using light tackle, targeting species such as Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Bluefish, Black Sea Bass, Flounder, and Silver Snapper.
Families are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Children must wear life vests, so please check if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are also a good idea so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
Your excursion begins aboard a 22' Center Console that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait may be available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There's no need to buy a fishing license; just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
Don't forget to bring sunglasses, non-spray sunblock, and bottled water. There will be some drinks available, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, as long as you avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.

We had a great time out with Captain Hunter! It was our first time ever ocean fishing, and he made sure we caught something while we were out with him. He was knowledgeable, patient, and made the whole experience enjoyable for both of us. We’ll definitely be booking another trip the next time we’re in Topsail. Thanks for helping make our first ocean fishing adventure such a memorable one!

We took a evening strike mission & even though we didnt catch anything. We had a couple good fights even though the fish got off. Hunter was great with our 3 kids. The waters were choppy, but Hunter communicated and gave options regarding our trip. We enjoyed our time.
