Welcome and thank you for considering Tri Cape Guide Service for your day on the water.
I have been fishing the waters of Eastern NC since my childhood years, and I enjoy traveling around to take advantage of what this state's waters and different fisheries have to offer. I have truly dedicated a large portion of my life to this craft, and I am excited to share it with you.
The North Topsail Beach / Sneads Ferry area has a fantastic year-round inshore fishery. We will primarily be targeting red drum, speckled trout, black drum, and flounder along the New River, ICW, and adjacent waters.
On an inshore trip, to prevent feeling cramped and avoid hook incidents, a maximum of 3 adult anglers or 2 adults and 2 children is preferred. Please let me know in advance if children will be joining so I can have the correct size life jackets onboard.
Bottled water and cooler space will be provided on all trips. If you would like to bring a small soft-sided cooler of your own, feel free; however, please avoid large hard-sided coolers, as space becomes limited quickly.
BYOB is welcome, but please consume responsibly and avoid bringing glass bottles onboard. I also recommend a good pair of polarized sunglasses and non-spray sunscreen to enhance your experience.
I run a Tidewater 21’ Bay Boat with a Yamaha four-stroke engine and modern, top-of-the-line electronics. For tackle, high-quality light-tackle spinning equipment and artificial lures are my favorites, but there will be times when we fish live and/or dead bait depending on the target species and what conditions allow.
I offer dock pickups from your vacation rental when possible.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I look forward to working hard to ensure you have a great experience!

Captain Johnnie was relentless! He didn't give up until he found the sweet spot and we were able to bring in some nice flounder. Caught mutiple grouper and drum. would most definitely book again. He's very knowledgeable and eager to provide excellent service.

I had a blast with your family! Thank you all so much, I hope you enjoy the flounder!

Had an absolute blast with Captain Johnny! He was able to put us on some BIG red drum and made it an unforgettable fishing charter. Very knowledgeable, hospitality was great, and equipment he provided was top of the line. Boat was comfortable, smooth riding, and very easy to fish from with plenty of bow platform. We definitely will be booking with Captain Johnny in the future!

Always great to have you on the boat. Thanks for fishing with me 👍🏻
Johnny was very knowledgeable on the area and where to find fish. Caught flounder and red drum- more than we could take home! Would definitely recommend and go out with Tri-Cape Charters again - overall awesome experience!

Thank you for the review- I had an aweeome time with your crew and I appreciate you all coming!

Captain Johnny was awsome. It was a tough fishing day as conditions were not great(very low water) but we still found some fish. Johnny is 1st class without a doubt. His boat and equipment was great. We had a great time and will definitely go fishing with him the next time we visit the area. I highly recommend a fishing trip with Captain Johnny!!

Thank you for the kind words Mr jared, I had a fantastic time sharing the boat with you all even though our fishing was slow that day.

Great experience, Captain John was such an easy guy to spend the day with. He made sure we had the best experience possible and took extra time to help us. It was like fishing with family. He even took time to take photos and share with us afterwards. Highly recommend!

Thank you for the kind words. I thoroughly enjoyed the company of your family today and they were fantastic anglers who fished hard. I truly hope to have the opportunity to have you all on the boat again in the future!
