Calypso Sport Fishing Experience
Panama City has a fish with your name on it, so let Calypso Sport Fishing Experience help you catch it!
Fishing around here will often see you targeting Amberjack, Broomtail Grouper, Goliath Grouper, Snowy Grouper, Horse-eye Jack, Almaco Jack, Permit, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Cubera Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Mullet Snapper, and more if conditions allow.
On these trips, it’s common to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Igens also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly gear. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are also a good idea to keep their stamina going!
You'll be fishing aboard a 24' Center console with space for 5 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunblock (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
How often would you rather be fishing? Go on and turn that day dream into a reality, with Calypso Sport Fishing Experience.
