Your trip is private for up to 3 guests, so when you book Southern Slab, the boat is yours. Rods, reels, tackle and lures are provided, along with bottled water. Just bring your Alabama freshwater fishing license and whatever food or snacks you’d like for the day.
Kids and beginners are welcome. Capt. Danny enjoys introducing new anglers to crappie fishing and helping experienced fishermen sharpen their skills.
You’ll fish from a well-equipped 21’ Nitro bass boat featuring Garmin electronics and LiveScope, giving you the opportunity to actually watch fish and see how they react to your bait.
Want to take some crappie home? Your legal catch can be cleaned, filleted and bagged at no additional charge at Capt. Danny’s nearby fish-cleaning location.
There are never guarantees in fishing, but Capt. Danny will work hard to give you a fun, productive day on Lake Tuscaloosa.

4-Hour Lake Tuscaloosa Crappie Trip on September 6, 2026The temp was supposed to be 100 degrees that day. We caught 20 keepers, (half day) including my new pb. We had the fish cleaned and on the road by 12pm. Excellent guide, excellent equipment, and someone that is good to spend time with on a boat. I already have another trip planned.

Whether you’re chasing your personal-best crappie, learning LiveScope, taking your kids fishing, or simply looking for an enjoyable day on the water, he’ll work hard to make your trip one you’ll remember. You can cancel or modify your booking up to 3 days before the trip date, free of charge. If you cancel or modify your booking later, or fail to show up, you'll forfeit 100% of what you've paid.

Pickup not included
Transfer to/from departure site is not included in trip rates.
How you can pay

No additional fees.
When the captain confirms your trip, FishingBooker charges your credit card a 50% deposit to guarantee your reservation.
The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the charter operator on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods:
