Spend the day with Southern Slab Guide Service and let them show you what makes fishing on Lake Tuscaloosa so memorable! Having logged many hours on these waters, Captain Danny can tell you all about the local fishery and put you on some good slabs for the cooler.
There's no guarantee when you're fishing, but just some of the species you can catch around here include Crappie, and more if you come at the right time of year.
On the day of your trip, you're likely to jig using light tackle.
Capt. Danny believes in teaching kids to fish while they're young, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also remember to bring snacks; luckily, Capt. Danny will have some on board!
You'll step aboard a 21' Bass boat with room for 2 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures.
You will need to purchase an Alabama Freshwater fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and sunglasses. There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is prohibited by law on the waters of Lake Tuscaloosa.
The click of a button is the only thing keeping you from a great day on the water with Southern Slab Guide Service!
