Make an adventure out of your next trip in Carenage and go fishing with Big Game Lodge. Having logged many hours on these waters, Captain Peter can tell you all about them.
Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), King Mackerel (Kingfish), Spanish Mackerel, Wahoo, Sailfish, Jack Crevalle, Yellowfin Tuna, Great Barracuda, Skipjack, and more can be found in these waters if you cast your line at the right time of year.
During the trip, you might be spinning, trolling, or trying something more specialized for the area.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so be sure to find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks to ward off any mid-trip fatigue!
You'll be fishing aboard a 40' Convertible with room for 8 passengers. It comes equipped with outriggers, downriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's also a toilet on board for your convenience.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know whether you'll be catching it yourself.
Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. Your captain will help you follow the regulations while you fish.
It's recommended to bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.
Now and then, the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. Time to make it happen with Big Game Lodge!
