There's a fish with your name on it in Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Anglers will help you catch it! With Captain Hayden at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
Salmon, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Lake Trout, Perch, Walleye, Bluegill, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, and more could be biting, depending on the time of year.
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks to keep their stamina going!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 19' Center console with space for 3 passengers. It comes with downriggers, all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Capt. Hayden will provide rods and reels for you, as well as lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
Before coming aboard, you may need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't leave home without sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask.
