Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself light-tackle fishing, trolling, jigging, or trying something more specialized in this area.
If you're traveling with the family, you'll be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! If you don't have a child-sized life jacket of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. And you can't go wrong with bringing snacks to keep their stamina up!
Your fishing machine for the day is a 19' center console with space for up to 3 passengers. It comes equipped with downriggers and all the essentials needed for a great day on the water.
Capt. Hayden will provide rods, reels, and lures.
A First Mate will be there to make sure everything is running smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.
Before coming aboard, you may need to purchase a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don't leave home without sunglasses, bottled water, and non-spray sunscreen. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask.

My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary and ended our trip fishing for salmon with Sleeping Bear Anglers; we were so glad we chose them! Captain Hayden worked hard to get us on fish and make the trip enjoyable. We caught salmon and lake trout, and had a great time! It was an awesome morning!
