Young ones are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Customers are encouraged to bring snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Capt. Matt operates a 22' Skiff with capacity for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without.
Your captain will provide rods and reels, along with lures. Live bait is included, no need for a fishing license. His boat is covered with a blanket fishing License.
Don't leave home without sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Highly recommend Matt and Buckeye Fishing Charters! Super friendly, professional and personalized our trip to meet the needs of our family … teenage girls who wanted to soak up the sun and reel in big fish (and do none of the work! 😆), husband who is an experienced fisherman and me who was somewhere in the middle. When we wanted a break from fishing he took us to a secluded island and we enjoyed a leisurely walk on a beautiful beach searching for big shells and shark teeth — which we found! We were not an easy crowd to please and he managed to do it! 10/10 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had an awesome time on this fishing charter! The captain was knowledgeable, friendly, and worked hard to put us on the fish. The boat was clean, the whole trip was well organized, and the experience was exactly what we were hoping for. Definitely recommend this charter to anyone looking for a great day on the water. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a blast with Captain Matt on our trip. At our first stop we hit the jackpot. We caught several red fish and sting rays. Even had a shark steal a big red just as we were pulling it into the boat! Captain Matt was very professional and knowledgeable. We are booking another date this year for late fall or early winter. Book with Buckeye and you won't regret it!

Had a fun trip out on the water with Captain Matt, it was fun, watching him, interact with the kids and teaching them about fishing and we got to see a nice sunset while fishing. An absolute blast, boys loved catching the big red fish.
