There’s a great catch waiting for you in Ruskin! Join Barefoot Fishing Charters and let Captain Frankie put his local knowledge and experience to work to make your day on the water one to remember.

King Mackerel (Kingfish), Goliath Grouper, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Flounder, Tripletail, Snook, Cobia, Blacktip Shark, Tarpon, Redfish, Jack Crevalle, and more inhabit these waters if you come at the right time of year.

Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Frank can also take you Flounder gigging. For the more adventurous among you, there's bowfishing.

If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own.

Your fishing machine for the day is a 24' Bay boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water.

Rods and reels are not supplied for you, so ask the captain about bringing your own or renting some for an extra cost. Be sure to ask about bait and lures as well. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.

Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter boat, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.

We recommend bringing a few essentials, including sunglasses, bottled water, and non-spray sunscreen. Drinking water will also be available on board. Alcohol is permitted in moderation, but please avoid hard liquor and glass bottles. Feel free to bring some snacks as well to keep everyone energized and happy throughout the trip!

Dreaming of the perfect day on the water? Turn that dream into reality with Barefoot Fishing Charters and enjoy an unforgettable day of fishing!

Fishing with Captain Frankie
4 Hour Trip - Tampa Bay Experience on July 7, 2026

Had the best day, we caught so many fish and he even cleaned and filleted them for us. He knows the best spots to fish and is patient with newer anglers. Would definitely go again!!
