We offer an affordable and enjoyable time fishing on the Lagoons and Near Shore Ocean waters in the “Fishing Capital of the World”.

Everything for fishing is supplied including rod & reel, bait & tackle, fishing license. We will bait your hook, remove your fish and clean them for you, if you decide to keep them.

Methods we use include Trolling, bottom fishing & floats depending on what is working best at the time and what you prefer. Wading out into knee deep water from one of the islands can also be effective if you want to give it a try.

Our 2-hour trips remain in the Lagoon. We have the option of going through the Lock and fishing in the Port or near shore ocean waters on our 4-hour trips. We don’t go in rough waters. If it is windy we fish the protected areas in the Lagoons or Port.        Except when wading from the islands we don’t allow overhead casting, for safety reasons.

Our goal is to have fun fishing, we don’t target any specific species. Fish commonly caught on our trips include Seatrout, Ladyfish, Jacks, Puffers, Kingfish, Spadefish, Saltwater Catfish, Flounder, Croaker, Bluefish, Spot, a variety of Snappers and Sharks.

We have also caught Redfish, Black Drum, Tarpon, Cobia, King Mackerel. Spanish Mackerel, Sheepshead, Pompano and Barracuda. We also have a Captain that does Flats Fishing for Reds, Trout & Tarpon. Flats Fishing is considerably more expensive and is usually for 1 or 2 anglers. Check with Capt. Pete for more info.

We recommend bringing polarized sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and plenty of drinking water. Since conditions can change throughout the day, lightweight layers and rain gear are always a good idea. You’re also welcome to bring snacks and any personal items you may need during the trip.

Come experience why more and more anglers are discovering the challenge, excitement, and satisfaction with Captain Pete's Fish Tales.

    Redfish broke the hook!

    4 Hour Trip - Fishing on October 16, 2026 • 2 adults

We caught 7 different types of fish. Hooked some monster redfish. Never got em in the boat. First one broke the hook. Second one snapped the line. We couldn’t have kept them legally anyway so it was just as well they broke free. But we definitely had a good time. Would we do it again? Hands down, absolutely yes we would. First mate was diligent in keeping us baited and fishing while Capt Peter kept us on the hot spots.
