The Cape Charles area has a fish with your name on it, so let Botangles Flyfishing help you find it! With Captain Denny at the helm, you’ll have a knowledgeable and experienced local guide dedicated to making your day on the water a memorable one.

There are no guarantees when you’re fishing, but depending on the season and conditions, you may have the opportunity to target Redfish, Sea Trout, and other exciting inshore species.

Captain Denny specializes in fly fishing and sight fishing while poling, giving you the chance to spot and cast to fish in shallow water. Fly tackle can be provided if arranged in advance, but experienced fly anglers are also welcome to bring their own gear.

Your primary fishing vessel is a 20’ flats boat that can accommodate up to 3 passengers and is equipped with everything you need for a productive day on the water. A second option is a Hog Island Skiff, specially suited for hunting Redfish in the grass and shallow-water areas.

There’s no need to purchase a fishing license, so all you have to do is show up ready for a great day of fishing! Keep in mind that some species may have specific harvest limits or closed seasons, so be sure to ask Captain Denny about the current regulations.

We recommend bringing polarized sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), a hat, bottled water, and comfortable weather-appropriate clothing. If you’d like to bring other drinks or snacks, feel free to ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but please avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.

Whether you’re an experienced fly angler or looking to experience sight fishing for the first time, Botangles Flyfishing is ready to show you the beautiful waters of Virginia’s Eastern Shore.

Book your trip with Captain Denny and get ready for an unforgettable day on the water!
