Amazon Golden Dorados Drift Flyfishing
This expedition combines multiple fishing approaches designed to maximize opportunities while exploring a remarkable diversity of Amazonian habitats. From wading crystal-clear riffles, pools, and rapids to drifting productive stretches aboard specially designed fishing rafts, each day offers a new perspective and a new challenge.
Access to the most remote waters is achieved using traditional Amazonian boats operated by skilled local navigators. Every day on the water is different — one moment may bring the explosive strike of a Golden Dorado in fast current, the next, the relentless action of a Sabalo in quieter water.
These waters are known for Golden Dorado, Pacu, Sabalo, Bocachico but also we have the whole collection of species like Arapaima, Peacock Bass, Catfish, and more – with any luck, you'll hook into a few!
You'll be fishing aboard a 14' drift boat with room for 2 passengers.
You're encouraged to dress in layers and the proper footwear for hot weather (if you aren't sure what that means, just ask).
Abe will have some snacks and drinks for you available on the boat all day.
