Spend the day with FishTales and see what's biting in Nokomis! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Joe can tell you all about the local fishery.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Mangrove Snapper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Pompano, Yellowtail Snapper, Hogfish, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Lane Snapper, Gray Triggerfish, Tripletail, and anything else that bites. You can expect to do some spinning, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Don't forget to bring snacks to keep 'em happy!
You'll be fishing aboard a 25' NauticStar center console with room for 6 passengers. It has all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
A few items to bring include a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
How often would you rather be fishing? Go on and turn that day dream into a reality, with FishTales.
