Reel Action Charter Services provides professional fishing charter experiences in Port Mansfield, Texas. Offering half day, full day, and evening trips, they give you the chance to experience Texas fishing with a guide who has been angling in the beautiful Lower Laguna Madre for over 20 years.
Your trip will be spent aboard Captain Augustin Perez's stable 25 ft Dargel Kat flats boat, which provides a comfortable ride for up to four anglers plus the captain. Powered by a 250 HP Suzuki engine, the boat can reach speeds of up to 55 knots, getting you between the best fishing spots fast.
While Captain Augustin specializes in fishing with light tackle and artificial baits, he is happy to provide live bait for you if you prefer, and his boat's live bait tank will keep it fresh throughout your trip. Reel Action Charter Services focus on catching all three species the Laguna Madre is famous for: Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder. Trips are flexible and, above all, are designed for you to have your perfect, personalized Texas fishing trip.
All bait, tackle, and bottled water is included in the price of the trip. Just turn up with a valid Texas saltwater fishing license and any snacks and drinks you might like to have during the day and get ready for a fun day fishing in the Laguna Madre.
If you prefer, you can also meet Capt. Augustin in Arroyo City or South Padre Island, TX and fish from there. Please, send him a message prior to the trip. After that, the adventure can begin!

Not only was all the normal stuff good (on time, nice boat, all the required gear, etc.) but Augustine was awesome with my 9 year old son. Best of all, we found the fish including a full limit of reds on the first day, and almost a full limit the second day including two tagged bulls.

Luckily we were with Augustin and he refused to give up. He talked us through each approach we tried, what was unique about each spot we visited, and exactly what the fish were looking for. He kept us moving and pushed hard to get us on fish and we had an amazing time!!! We are looking forward to coming back and trying again someday! Tight lines!!!

Captain Augustin was friendly, courteous, informative and (most importantly) knew where to find the fish. We got the full trip in before Hurricane Hanna arrived. Captain Perez cleaned and bagged our catch and recommended a local restaurant where they cooked some of our fish and we discussed our next trip.

Quickly went from a fishing trip to a catching trip..
Captain Augustin took me and my four sisters out of Port Mansfield. We had a wonderful time. He was on time, had an immaculate boat, and a fun and pleasant attitude. He was very knowledgeable about fishing in the area, and we all caught fish and had a great time! I would definitely recommend his services to anyone looking for a very experienced and likable guide in the area.

Great day out on the water with Capt. Perez. Very knowledgeable about the waters surrounding Port Mansfield, he has been fishing the area for a long time.. Very patient and quick to attend our rods and tackle when we had issues. We weren't the most experienced fisherman, so he gave us great tips and instructions. His boat was perfect for the four of us and we had no issues with the rods and reels. We fished with live bait and plastics, landed fish with both. We caught some great specs and a nice red. Entertaining gent to boot. I'd hire him again if we are ever back in Port Man.
