Winter doesn’t mean the fishing season is over in the Adirondacks - it just means it’s time to get out on the ice.
Adirondack Mountain & Stream offers guided ice fishing trips throughout the Adirondack Park, from easily accessible lakes perfect for a relaxed day on the ice to more remote waters for anglers looking for a true winter adventure. Depending on the location, conditions, and time of season, we can target Lake Trout, Northern Pike, Walleye, Yellow Perch, Rainbow Trout, Bass, and other Adirondack gamefish.
Our trips are tailored to the group. Experienced ice anglers can spend the day exploring new water and learning local techniques, while beginners and families can learn everything from setting tip-ups and jigging to reading sonar, choosing productive depths, and safely traveling on the ice. No previous ice fishing experience is necessary.
We provide the essential fishing equipment needed for the day, including rods, tip-ups, tackle, bait, and other specialized gear. Depending on the trip and location, we can also utilize portable shelters and electronics to help keep anglers comfortable and locate fish beneath the ice.
More than anything, our ice fishing trips are about experiencing the Adirondacks in a completely different season. Frozen lakes, snow-covered mountains, a warm drink on the ice, and the anticipation of watching a flag pop up make for a winter experience that goes well beyond simply catching fish.
Whether you’re chasing Lake Trout in deep water, setting tip-ups for Pike, jigging for Perch, or simply looking to spend a winter day outdoors with friends and family, our guides will build the trip around your experience level, goals, and the current conditions.
