Osprey Fishing Tours is your ticket to the stunning waters of El Castillo. With Captain Brian at the helm, you'll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Rainbow Bass, Jaguar Guapote, Tilapia, and whatever else takes the bait.
Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, or trying something more specialized in this area. Capt. Brian also offers fly fishing, but you may need to bring your own fly fishing gear.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Also, remember to bring snacks to keep your energy levels up!
You'll be casting lines from a 23' deck boat with space for 9 passengers. It has all the essentials a fishing boat needs.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures.
Your fishing license for the day is covered by the charter, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Your captain will help you follow regulations while you fish.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation; just avoid hard liquor and glass bottles. Light snacks will also be provided on board.

When I asked if you had tried casting before, I was surprised to hear it was your first time—you both showed such great technique! You had never used topwater lures before, but you quickly learned how to work the Whopper Ploppers and caught several machaca. And that big guapote was definitely a highlight—what a catch! Pure adrenaline! The beautiful weather and clear views of Lake Arenal and the volcano made the morning even more special. Thank you both for your kindness and wonderful company.
