You’ll be fishing with Capt. Donnie, a USCG-licensed captain, former Angler of the Year, and tournament winner who loves putting people on fish and making sure everyone has a great day on the water.
Captain D Charters offers trips on Lake Okeechobee, Headwaters Lake, Stick Marsh, Garcia Reservoir, Kenansville Lake, and select Palm Beach County waters.
Depending on the time of year and location, you may be fishing for Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Crappie, and other local favorites.
Capt. Donnie fishes with light tackle and can also accommodate fly fishing. If you prefer to fly fish, you may want to bring your own fly gear.
Largemouth Bass are catch and release. Bluegill and Crappie may be kept when allowed under current regulations.
Captain D Charters is family-friendly, so kids are always welcome. If you need a child-sized life jacket, just let us know ahead of time.
You’ll fish from a 21’ Triton bass boat that can accommodate up to 4 passengers. Rods, reels, tackle, and lures are provided.
If you’ll be fishing with live bait, Capt. D will meet you at the bait shop so you can purchase shiners before the trip. Live bait is the customer’s responsibility.
Capt. D provides ice and water and will have a cooler available for any snacks, beverages, or lunch you’d like to bring.
Please bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses so you’re comfortable out on the water.
Whether you’re an experienced angler or it’s your first trip, Capt. Donnie wants you to have a fun, relaxed day, catch some fish, and make some great memories along the way.
